Bourgeois Heroes, as the name suggests, was born out of cutthroat capitalism and middleclass mediocrity.  In the Spring of 2002, Jason and Elise purchased an electric guitar and a drum set and made their hasty, debut single at Sun Studio in Memphis, TN.

Although the group has remained mostly a studio effort in their first five years, they have made sparse appearances at venues in New England and New York City including: the Baggott Inn, CBGB’s, the Iron Horse Music Hall, the Space and Toad’s Place.  The duo have also shared the stage with such acts as Bishop Allen, the Butterflies of Love, Candy Butchers, Feathers, the Hotel, Mark Mallman, Mates of State, Mark Mulcahy, School for the Dead and Winterpills.

Come Out & Play with Bourgeois Heroes marks the first indie label release for the duo.  Most of their prior recordings have been homemade cds that have been handed out at shows or left at record shops.

Click here for review excerpts from their self-released and only other mass-produced album, “Myths & Motorcycles”.
